About Talent

David S. Kadhila is a Namibian engineer and postgraduate scholar specializing in energy systems and sustainable development. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power from NUST and is currently pursuing a Master of Engineering in Environmental Engineering (Energy Systems), with a research exchange at the University of Bayreuth in Germany. His work focuses on the techno-economic assessment of integrated energy systems, particularly for green ammonia production in Namibia.

David has gained hands-on experience through roles at the Cheetah Conservation Fund under the SteamBioAfrica project, NamWater, and GIZ’s Green People’s Energy initiative. His expertise includes renewable energy systems, energy efficiency, environmental impact assessment, and rural electrification. Passionate about climate-resilient infrastructure and sustainable energy transitions, he aspires to contribute to impactful solutions in Namibia and beyond.

Accountable for the daily operation and maintenance of all existing utilities of CCF including electric grid, water grid, internet, and network. Hands-on management of the biomass torrefaction plant including supervision of operators. Repair and maintenance of the synchronized diesel generators. Monitor the electrical systems (solar grid tie inverters, battery inverters and biomass gasifier generators). Biomass harvesting environmental impact assessment and management plan. Planning and implementation of the expansion of all utilities and supervising any site construction. Record keeping and reporting of preventive and emergency maintenance actions taken. Liaise with external contractors and third parties.
