Her responsibilities also included alternating between site visits and testing laboratory tasks, which allowed her to observe and understand how different materials react and perform in real-world conditions.

Working in teams, they traversed the pipeline routes to locate and record details of water meters, air release valves, isolation valves, and scour valves. Using handheld tablets, they accurately logged each item's position and condition. Their work relied heavily on collaboration within their teams and guidance from NamWater-provided drivers, who were familiar with the layout of the pipeline system

supporting the site team through supervision of daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and occupational health and safety requirements. She maintains accurate site records, assists in quality inspections, monitors progress against the construction program, and liaises effectively with the foreman and subcontractors. In the office, Amalia contributes to the tendering process by assisting with quantity take-offs, compiling supporting documents, reviewing specifications, and helping to prepare tender submissions.
